Accessories for Laser Beam Analysis - Filters
To increase the usable power range of the Si or UV-Enhanced heads filters are provided in housing.
In the case of M²Beam and FocusGage systems, filters can be inserted between the knife-edge and the sensor, this specific arrangement will prevent the attenuation from distorting the beam since it is behind the scanning plane.
The general guideline for use is as follows:
- No filter : Power up to 5 mW
- NG4 filter: Power up to 50 mW (~10% transmission)
- NG9 filter: Power up to 1 W (~0.5% transmission)
The actual attenuation will vary depending on wavelength and the production filter batch, the actual transmission values are found in the calibrated filter files that are included with the software.

In the case of BeamOn system, three filters are provided in housing,
1.6 mm thick Schott colored filters. Filter type include: NG4, NG9 and NG10.
The general guideline for use is as follows:
- NG4 filter: Power up to 50 mW (~10% transmission)
- NG9 filter: Power up to 1 W (~0.5% transmission)
- NG10 filter: Power up to 1.5 W (~0.5% transmission)

Accessories for BeamOn system
A special attachments for high power lasers attenuation up to 100 W/cm2.
SAM1 - beam sampler with a sampling range 3x10-3 from 350nm -
1100nm.
SAM2 - beam sampler with a sampling range 1x10-6
from 350nm - 1100nm.
RDC - beam reducer with factor of 1x2.0 at the visible range.

with sampling reduction factor of 0.0016 Average, over a wide spectral range
(250 - 2000nm)..
